Campfire Cooking Checklist Tips

  1. Never check an item off until you actually pack it.
  2. Campfire safety is important - make sure you always have a filled water bucket and a camp shovel or trowel near the campfire area. **And don't forget a heavy pair of campfire gloves.
  3. Pack your campfire cooking utensils and serving pieces together. An inexpensive plastic tool box works great.
  4. A good cutting board will come in handy if you are short on camp site table space, so you should have at least one medium to large size one. Approx. 12" x 16" or larger.
  5. Disposable paper plates, cups, and bowels are great time and space savers, plus you can reduce to camp site trash by burning them in the campfire when you are done,
  6. Don't forget the ZipLoc plastic bags and heavy-duty aluminum foils - they are a camp cooks best friends. Make sure the ZipLocs are the heavier freezer bags with the double-seal closures.
